The Central Bank of the Philippines just changed the composition of the coins to save for the costs and to avoid illegal smuggling of our coins outside the country. They say that the cost of the coin itself is more expensive than the value itself.
My brother used to collect the one peso coin during Marcos time, the big and heavy one. Now it costs more than a peso and worth collecting. My mom gave us a five peso coin, the big silver one, on her silver anniversary. It's not like the five peso coin we are using now.
You see, coins may just be coins. But a peso or a dollar won't be complete without them. They are made of metals and minerals that costs more than its value. It may mean nothing to us now but count more years and it will be more costly than our bills now.
Want to invest or collect coins? It's not yet too late. You may avail of rare coins from Monaco Rare Coins. They will be more than willing to assist you in this new form of investment or collection. Waste no time and coins and visit their site.

Special Holiday
February 25 was declared a non-working holiday in celebration of the People Power anniversary, hence a special holiday. And I must say, really special!
In our line of business, the more the holiday, the more we have to work.
But not this time! We woke up later than our usual wake up time, had a very late breakfast - more of a brunch, was able to see Lenlen at the hospital - she gave birth, had a late lunch out, and was able to catch a movie with Omar and Summer.
We saw My Bestfriend's Girlfriend. We told Summer that we will be watching Marimar and Sergio. All through out the movie, she was asking where Sergio was =).
A family day! More power, People Power!

Happy Birthday Julian!
It was Julian's 6th bday party!
Party was held at Tita Adette's house with the family of Ojay and Yang. We had baked spaghetti, baked chicken, barbecue, pizza, tiramisu, strawberry cream cake - all home made!
It was so much fun eating! So fun I had no time to take photos. Summer had so much fun, she did not eat at all. Right when we got to our house just to drop our things, she stopped to eat some spaghetti.

Craving? Gluttony?
I've been craving to eat halo-halo for the longest time. I wanted to eat sweet corn too. Or even burito!
But I just cannot accommodate all these food! I feel so bloated. I've been waiting to feel hungry so I can finally eat these food but come the next meal and I'm still not hungry. So no time to eat all these.
Until this afternoon, I ate lunch early, and had my snack just before it gets to dinner time. I was finally able to eat my halo-halo! Yummy!!!
What's on the plate? The all-time favorite camote chips, without sugar. It is served crispy. They give me these without me asking for it. They know its my favorite.
