Remembering... again

We went back to Manila Memorial Park at Sucat, not just to visit Lola Dureng, but to see Omar's relatives. It's more of like a small family reunion.

Summer was still sleeping when we hit the road after lunch. We will be travelling from Bulacan and will be going home to Bulacan too after. We brough inipit, ensaymadang Malolos, nuts, and suman from Mommy. We had so much yummy food.

Summer had so much time running around with her cousin, Jaja. Omar's cousins were amazed how a small little girl can be so active. She was like a baby boy.Even inside the car, on our way home, Summer did not stop from playing. She played with my jacket and wrapped it around her head herself while watching her highschool musical dvd, claiming that she is a sister (nun), when looking more of like a muslim girl.Hmmm... creative baby huh?

Car? or Pick-up?

Omar will be selling his newly restored Toyota Corolla. I like his car. It's so classic, it's so clean. Every time we use it, even if it's not a brand new car nor a luxury car, we always get a stare or people will ask about it. Sometimes, I want to stop him from selling it. I want it to be Summer's car when she grew up. But I have to respect his decision with his car.

Now, he's thinking of getting a brand new Toyota Vios for its fuel saving capacity or a second hand Pick-up so he can use it when purchasing parts for the shop.

His plan was to use the money from his old car for down payment and to pay the balance in installment. Will it be in-house financing from the car dealer? Or car loan from the bank? We definitely have no idea what's the best deal until I came across a site offering home equity loans, and they are offering car loans too.

Hmmm... needs a little more thinking.

Costume? Uniform?

When Summer was given an assignment to wear what she wants to be when she grows up, there were so many things I had in mind. But I want something unique, a stage mom that I am.

It's just now that I came across this site. You can see here the detailed uniform like a 5.11 tactical pants and accessories of a policeman. Not for toys or costumes, but for real. I know it's not suited for kids, but we can be creative right?

This site is not only for costume purposes only but to give us ideas how detailed the paraphernalia of a policeman are and how safe we should feel with them around.

Vacations

Every year, we get to travel with my family just before the school starts. This is our reward after months of hard work in the business and to continually inspire us to work harder and for the kids to study harder. We usually go last week of May or first week of June, depending on when the kids will start their school.

Our first expedition was at Dos Palmas, when the abduction of the Abu Sayyaf happened 3 days after we left the place and we were even planning to extend our stay then. Then it was followed with a trip to Bohol, to Club Noah, to Davao, and to El Nido. We love to go to Coron at Palawan this time but my mom just had too much Palawan already.

Last May, she was mentioning of going to an Asian Cruise instead including Hong Kong so she could bring her grandchildren at Disneyland. Omar and Summer haven't been to Disneyland. It was too late for us then to book for the trip. I am still hoping that her offer is good until next year. So I better plan early this time.

I love surfing at www.HotelReservations.com where I can look for the best deals. They have everything you need for your travel or vacation. They offer flights arrangement, hotel reservations, car rentals, and even vacation packages. It's like a one stop shop. And what's more, it's travel you can afford with their competitive rates.

Now, I just have to invite my mom to sit with me in front of the computer, bring her to the site, and let her choose among the many recommendations we can get online. Where do you think is the best place to visit next? We can go domestic or international. Summer would love to travel and explore places, my little Dora the Explorer. I'm so excited!

In loving memories...

Yesterday, we went to visit Omar's lolos and lolas who passed away.

We went to Manila Memorial Park, then to Manila South Cemetery and to Manila North Cemetery. We did not bring Summer with us anymore.

Today, we went to my lolo and lola at Hagonoy, Bulacan. Here is a photo of their mausoleum, filled with flowers and plants.Summer, as usual, played with her cousins and had the time of her life.

Online business

It is not easy to get a trust worthy babysitter nowadays. Many are stay at home moms who are now looking for means to help their husbands by having a home-based business.

You can do online business at home while looking after your babies and tendering your homes. If you're into trading, you might want to try this shopping cart software I saw at the web. It will be like your online shopping cart. The site will give you steps on how to have online business. Better to be mindful than to have no idea at all on how to run an online business.

It is the best deal ever! Having to look after your kids and your own home and having an extra income on the side too! It is even less in overhead costs - no rental space to mind, no extra staff, no need to control since it's only you operating the whole thing! Good luck and happy business to all!
