After 17 years

Tita Sol is the sister of Tito Adnie. Tito Adnie is Tita Lynda's husband. Tita Lynda is my mom's sister. They are all based in the US.

Tita Sol went home again to the Philippines, after 17years. She went to see Lola Toyang and had lunch with us. She came with Tito Narling, another brother, and his family. They stayed until dinner.Summer had a blast playing with Trevor, a boy, instead of playing with Ally, a girl.

2 months Check-up

I brought the kids to the doctor for their vaccine again!

Winter now weighs 5.4kg and is now 61cm long. Summer gained 0.5kg from last month's weight of 15kg.

Winter had his 6in1 vaccine while Summer had her booster shot.

Both babies cried. Summer got bubbles for reward.

I paid for the expensive vaccines and got no reward hehehe. I can feel the pain!

Side story: I used to ask Omar to come with us to the doctor since I cannot handle 2 kids even with Ate Cory. But since I want to have their vaccines strictly on schedule so I can still get their vaccines on December before we leave, I insisted on bringing the kids to the doctor by myself without Omar. He was pretty busy with the shop and wanted me to bring the kids to the doctor the following week instead. Turned out, gusto pala talaga nya sumama! Di lang sya napipilitan sumama sa amin before dahil sa kakulitan ko! Na-touch ako! Ang drama! Arte!!!

2 months

We're 2 months old already!

I bought 2 cupcakes from Brownies Unlimited, but wasn't able to buy spaghetti sauce anymore, though we have cooked spaghetti noodles available at home - lazy mom, that's me!

It was a Wednesday night and we had dinner at my inlaws.Summer blew the candles for our sleeping celebrant.

Happy birthday Winter!

Trick or Treat?

It's Playschool International's Halloween Parade.I asked Summer what costume she wanted to wear for their halloween parade and she wanted to be a mermaid with red hair.

It's my first time to spend for her costume and excited mom that I was, I bought the costumes giddily with close eyes. Pero okay lang kasi we were both excited kahit pink hair nabili namin instead of red hair.

The teachers put on their students face painting and Summer got a star on her face.

They started the program with their prayer and 'hello' song. Then, they recited their halloween poem - a 14-line poem which Summer was able to memorize in less than 30minutes. The toddlers had their dance number followed by a 'wrap a mummy game' for toddler moms.

The juniors level had their dance number, followed by the seniors. After the dance numbers, we were given small paper plates to make pumpkins with our kids. Summer colored the plate with orange and I cut out the pumpkin's face. Summer wanted to put hair and earrings so I added a shirt and short pants, just to make it different from the others. Then, I realized that it doesn't look like a pumpkin anymore hehehe. They danced Ghost Busters for their final dance number before kids were able to go around the parents for their candies. Summer got her pumpkin half full of candies. We were asked to bring snacks to share and we brought inipit from Malolos and Summer ate ice cream and cupcake.Summer would surely have a feast eating all her chocolates and snacks from her trick or treat.

First Term Progress Report

Name: Reantaso, Sophia Jade S.
Birhdate: March 22, 2005
Class: Junior Level

June - October 2008
SY 2008 - 2009

Generally, Summer has shown good progress in terms of her academic skills. She already knows the letters of the alphabet but she still needs to focus more on the sounds. She also knows her numbers and can count 1-20 with assistance. She has a good memory, which allows her to work easily with new concepts and activities. She can easily recall things and situations and has a very imaginative mind. Improvement in her social skills has been noted, she can already adjust to the people around her. She plays cooperatively with her classmates and as well as with adults. Summer shows enthusiasm when it comes to art related activities. She loves to draw her family as well as her classmates. She is very artistic and very imaginative when it comes to arts.

Another reason for me to be proud.

Sunday at the Cabanas

There's a new place in town. And there's a new place to eat in that new place. And it's called the Cabana Grill at The Cabanas, serving chicken inasal and the likes.
I found the chicken dry. Though, their food must be good for a lot of our orders were no longer available that day.

What we are looking forward now is the opening of The Cinema.

Double celebration.

William John A. Reantaso was baptized on my birthday.
Winter was baptized at the Barasoain Church at Malolos City. Winter wore a simple white polo and shorts and the church provided the baptismal dress and hat. We also have to buy the candles from the church. Godparents are Elmer, Bos Jo, Bong, Odie and Ojay and Ate Joy, Ate Elvie, Ate Marie, Jusy and Clio. Only Elmer and Ate Elvie were able to make it to the church. Schools had their field trip that day at the church and buses were parked on the street causing traffic and closure of the road.Reception was at DJ Paradise Resort. Mom and Dad provided the lechon baka. I ordered lengua estofado and chicken teriyaki from the coffee shop, Chef Orland prepared Potato Leek cream soup, Greek Salad, Five-spiced Pork, Fried Fish with toppings, Spaghetti vongole, and Fruit salad with 4 cheese. Additional menu were arroz valenciana, halo halo bar, and buko pandan.Singer was invited by mommy to sing for the event. It was a day made special by families and friends who came to celebrate the baptismal of Winter. Thank you!

His and hers

Omar loves cleaning up and I always mess up. A perfect combination. Since he loves cleaning up, I can mess around the house, napasaya ko pa sya!

And Summer both got our traits.

She can be so makalat, especially with her cousins around, wanting to finally play her toys with somebody else and not just by herself. They were so makalat that Ieven thought if that was still gawa ng to, it was more like gawa ng monster e hehehe. That's from the second floor of the house all the way inside the rooms and even by the stair steps. But I was surprised to see her cleaning up on her own kahit naiwan na sya ng mga playmates nya. Haay! Sana nga mahilig sya sa pagliligpit.

Worker's Day

It's Worker's Day at Playschool.

As usual, I don't want to spend on Summer's costume. Di naman sa nagkukuripot ako. As much as possible kasi ayaw ko ng may kaparehas sya. So I want to make use of what we have at home. Kung may kailangan idagdag, then I'm willing to buy. Wag lang yung buong costume, bibilhin para maiba naman sya. That is, as much as possible sana!

She was a chef last school year.

Summer got a toy hardhat from a cousin's birthday party as a party hat. So I thought of making her an engineer. I borrowed a checkered polo from my sister-in-law, and she was kind enough to lend me her daughter's jumper skirt and her son's shovel. Voila! My lady bob the builder!

Surprise! He's back!

Chef Orland's back!

In celebration of Papa Oka's birthday, Orland arrived from Canada and it was a surprise. Onnie picked up Orland from the airport while Mama brought Papa to the market.Orland surprised Kuya Olejoe at the door. Papa Oka was chatting with Orland at the skype, not knowing that Orland was just in the other room. Orland asked Papa for a minute for he will just get something, went out of the room and surprised Papa. As expected, Papa was so surprised and even checked the computer in front of him if Orland was no longer there haha. The skype surprised was done with Odie, Titos and Titas and cousins, Yang, M, and Ojay.

The chef prepared the appetizers and desserts.
It was his first to see Winter too.Summer got a big bird bag and a pair of aqua shoes. Winter got a polo and a pair of shoes. Thank you Orland!

Happy birthday Papa!

Happy Birthday Papa!

It's my FIL's 61st birthday. Though, we will be having dinner with family and relatives on Sunday, we still had our dinner with the family at their home.

It was a simple dinner with pancit, pesang lapu lapu, and chicken and pork barbecue but with all the noisy apos around, it made it different from their ordinary dinner. We pitched in money for a gift for papa - a Kenneth Cole watch yata hehehe. He liked it. It was a gift of time and it was big time daw hehehe.

Happy birthday Papa!

My explorers

I put Winter to sleep and placed him on his crib. He likes it warm so I gave him a blanket. I folded Summer's Dora blanket and placed it on him. It so happened that Dora's head was folded off and the collar was at Winter's neck line. And this was how he looked like:Syempre, di papatalo si Ate Summer and we had her version too!Aliw no? hehehe

Could it be addiction?

I love watching my Summer sleep! Almost half of my images in my cellphone are photos of Summer sleeping.

But not anymore.

I just don't love watching Summer sleep, I love watching her sleep with Winter. They are like my angels sleeping heavenly, so peaceful!

Ang girl, malikot matulog parang trumpo. Ang boy, maingay maghilik parang tambol.

Sleep tight!
