Special Holiday

February 25 was declared a non-working holiday in celebration of the People Power anniversary, hence a special holiday. And I must say, really special!

In our line of business, the more the holiday, the more we have to work.

But not this time! We woke up later than our usual wake up time, had a very late breakfast - more of a brunch, was able to see Lenlen at the hospital - she gave birth, had a late lunch out, and was able to catch a movie with Omar and Summer.

We saw My Bestfriend's Girlfriend. We told Summer that we will be watching Marimar and Sergio. All through out the movie, she was asking where Sergio was =).

A family day! More power, People Power!

Happy Birthday Julian!

It was Julian's 6th bday party!

Party was held at Tita Adette's house with the family of Ojay and Yang. We had baked spaghetti, baked chicken, barbecue, pizza, tiramisu, strawberry cream cake - all home made!

It was so much fun eating! So fun I had no time to take photos. Summer had so much fun, she did not eat at all. Right when we got to our house just to drop our things, she stopped to eat some spaghetti.

Happy birthday Julian!

Craving? Gluttony?

I've been craving to eat halo-halo for the longest time. I wanted to eat sweet corn too. Or even burito!

But I just cannot accommodate all these food! I feel so bloated. I've been waiting to feel hungry so I can finally eat these food but come the next meal and I'm still not hungry. So no time to eat all these.

Until this afternoon, I ate lunch early, and had my snack just before it gets to dinner time. I was finally able to eat my halo-halo! Yummy!!!What's on the plate? The all-time favorite camote chips, without sugar. It is served crispy. They give me these without me asking for it. They know its my favorite.

Noel-Lyra

It was Lyra's D-Day!

Noel and Lyra's wedding was celebrated at The Coconut Palace. The rites started at 5pm, though Omar and I were late.
Vicky, Efren, Jusy and Nick also came to witness the celebration. We were seated at Table No. 1. Yipee! We were able to eat ahead for we were hungry already. We were served sumptuous dinner from Josiah's Catering. They had mongolian and tempura tables too, aside from the dessert table.

Omar and I were even called to join the game for the couples. They had fireworks too. I also got to meet a blogger mom, Jody, who coordinated the event.

We did not finish the program anymore since our baby was still waiting for us at Bulacan.

Congratulations Noel and Best Wishes Lyra! Looking forward to your mini Noels and mini Lyras.

Happy Birthday Kuya!

It's Valentine's Day and it's Kuya's birthday!

We had dinner at Superbowl at Gateway. We had a food fest! Summer loved the prawn crackers. We brought chocolates for dessert. After dinner, Mommy and Daddy watched Connie Francis at the Araneta Coliseium while we walked around. Omar bought jersey. He plays basketball with his friends every Tuesday. I bought a pair of black shoes.

Omar and Daddy sure saved a lot celebrating Kuya's birhtday over Valentine's day. No complains =).

Awwww....

Papa is so sweet and thoughtful!

I went home and saw a flower in our room. I thought it was Omar's surprise for me. Then, it was from Papa! It was my third Valentine rose from Papa within 4years of marriage with his son. I just find it so sweet. Then, when I opened our ref, there's a heart-shaped big brownie from Mama and Papa! More of like a chocolate cake!

I must have done something really good to be blessed with loving in-laws.

A glimpse of Summer

We met Omar's tita who is based at Toronto and usually spend 4months in a year here in the Philippines. They usually stay at Bicol, that's why it was my first to see her.

Tita Ching and Uncle Peter talks a lot, not in a bad way ha. You learn a lot from them. I learned from Tita Ching to just laugh it off if things didn't go your way, far better than carrying a burden when you cannot do anything about it. I learned from Uncle Peter to cut your meal serving in half or never take a second round if you're trying to lose weight.

Seeing Tita Ching is like seeing Summer when she grows up. They have so much in common. According to Tita, she grew up one of the boys and not much into girly things. She's a picky eater. And a papa's girl! Summer na Summer. And as I've mentioned, talks a lot.

We brought them to Cabalen for dinner but instead of us treating them, they treated us. Kakahiya. Thanks for the dinner! And it was nice finally meeting you!
Oh! The ginataang kuhol is for you, Ninang Jenny!

My surprise.

I surprised Omar with my very late anniversary gift for him.

I gave him a silver ipod nano with video with 8gb memory. He'd been wanting to have one for his corolla and our CRV is now equipped with ipod ready stereo.

Thanks to Ate Rona for buying it for me from HongKong. I saved a lot.

I placed it on the dresser where he usually puts his cellphone and car keys. He saw it in the morning. He asked me what it was and I said it was a late gift.

He was so happy when he opened the gift. He was so surprised what the ipod was doing in our room since it is for rich people only. He said sorry for not getting me anything. He was so thankful and happy. He was even worried that we do not have enough money. I just told him it's okay, it's my gift for him and I got it from my Zagu money.

I think it was the best gift he got from me, looking at his reaction.

Now, we just have to figure out how to install music in his ipod.

Is it just me?

Or do every mothers who recently gave birth experience changes in their eye grade?

Since I got pregnant, I always get a headache. I always carry in my pocket a balm. Could it be my eyes again? Does it mean I have to adjust my lens again?
So I surfed the net. And my Great Discovery: Zenni Optical. They have Zenni Optical $8 Rx Glasses. It's cheap and choices are fashionable. I can afford to change my glasses every month. And Best Thing Found: Zenni Optical. They have tinted glasses too. Now I can wear shades and see clearly at the same time without wearing contact lenses.

Nice work, Jade! =)

Dinner with Lyra

Lyra, my barkada from college days, came home after 10years from the US to get married. She's getting married on Feb. 15 at The Coconut Palace with Noel Cunanan.

Our barkade had our get together once again for Lyra. We had dinner at Ace Water Spa at Del Monte Ave. I had their Beef Brisket. We brought her flowers and cake.It was nice seeing everybody again. Maila wasn't able to join us since she was at Tuguegarao. We will see each other again on Friday =).

Let's see....

When I was pregnant with Summer, Jenny brought me a coconut butter stick from Body Shop to prevent me from having stretch marks. As I was too lazy to use it religiously, stretch marks made its launching and stayed for good.

And now pregnant again with Winter, Omar's been very supportive in reminding me to apply lotion on my tummy. But the stick dried already so I looked for other brand instead.

So I searched for a stretch mark cream and came upon this site. It's said to help prevent stretch marks. I just hope it helps remove old stretch marks too. They have revitol stretch mark cream. You should visit their site. It's totally amazing! They have testimonies with pictures of actual pregnant women! The had stretch marks on their early part of their pregnancy and after applying the revitol stretch mark cream, their tummy was so flawlessly white! Stretch marks disappeared! It's not just a moisturizer, but it helps strengthen your skin layer for elasticity. Really amazing!

Hmm... I just have to order it online and have it shipped to Jenny. I hope she'll find a way to send it here to me before my stretch marks starts growing again.

There is hope after all.

Mom of a traveller toddler

I'm one proud momma again!

I brought Summer to school this morning and I saw Teacher Rachel.

Teacher Rachel: Hi mommy! Ang sarap sarap po kasama ni Summer. Di alagain.

Ang sarap pala ng feeling na kno-compliment ang anak mo. Parang ayaw ko na umalis sa harap nya and I want to hear more hahahaha.

Sigaw sya ng 'What's that? Elephant!' hanggang sa matapos ang film. Ang galing nya! 30minutes non-stop!

In short, di sya nakatulog sa ingay ng anak ko. Tanong nya, sagot nya.

Haayyy... Good news! Bad news!

Happy Summer, Happy Mommy

Finally, Serendra with Summer!

Daddy being at the US for a short business trip, Mommy brought us to Market Market for a late lunch. We had pancit lucban, barbecue, balot, pan de sal, and assorted kakanin. Another food fest!

Then, we went to Serendra. We brought Jenjen at Fully Booked. Summer went wild. She kept running around. She was so amazed with so much books. It's a building of books. She likes books. I hope she will like it until she grows old. She was asking me to give her her book. She was literally everywhere.

We strolled some more. And we saw the Havaianas Kick-off event. I think it was a football clinic. Kuya's kids were amazed watching all breeds of dog around but Summer was more interested with playing with the balls.

I saw Ever and Ann too!

Too bad my camera was at my other bag and I was just too lazy to go back to the car to get it. I have photos in my cellphone but I still have to learn how to upload photos from there yet.

It was pretty packed on weekends than on weekdays. Omar liked the place too and promised to go back some other time. Yipee!

I like it!

Here's Summer enjoying her ice cream!Yummy!

Waaahhhh!!!!!

Ate met Daddy at California.

Daddy, upon seeing Ate: Ang laki mo na rin, para ka nang si Jade!

Huwatttt!!!!! Gawin ba akong comparison table?

As I texted Daddy, 'Daddy, I'm not big! I'm pregnant!'

Kung di lang ako buntis, magd-diet na ulit ako! Magta-taebo na ulit ako!

Gosh!
