Together again

My favorite fruit!

Yumyum!

Back to Baguio

We always go to Baguio every December 25. When everybody's busy with their family reunions and gift giving. Traffic was a breeze to Baguio.

We just stay at home to catch up on our sleep after attending Simbang Gabi and Christmas parties. We just wake up to eat.

We just leave home for church and a neal at John Hay to make use id Daddy's consumables.

Sarap!

Christmas in Hawaii! 🌸

I wish!

The Santiagos had our tradition Christmas reunion at Gazebo Royale with the Hawaiian theme.

The party was early.
We had fun and games.
We won 2nd place for the per family presentation.
I won speakers for my ipad.
We got giftsssssss!

Merry Christmas! Aloha!

Winter and his noodles

Summer was hungry and got her cup of noodles.
Winter tried and liked it.
Winter got bored waiting for me to feed him.
Winter learned to eat on his own.

Race car

Winter was so excited when he saw this car at Omar's car shop.
Good thing they were friends with the owner so my Winter boy was able to get pictures in the car.
Happy?

Book Fair

One of Summer's school way of celebrating book fair is to have a parade of book characters.

From hand me downs costume from her Ate Jenjen, we picked up her Arabian costume so Summer can pretend like Princess Jasmine of Aladdin.  I just put on a crown and voila! She's a princess.
Big girl na baby girl ko.

Happy Birthday Lola

Lola Toyang celebrated her birthday on November 17.  But since it fell on a weekday and most of us are in Manila, we decided to visit her on a Saturday instead.

Summer made a birthday card for Lola.
We bought a birthday cake for her.
 And brought pancit and chicken.
We gave her a transistor for a gift since her radio just bogged down on her so she can listen to her prayers over the radio.
Happy birthday Lola!

A must first.

Stuff are starting to be delivered so we brought the kids to bring in the must firsts to be brought inside our home.

On Omar's way to bringing Summer to school, Winter and I joined them and dropped by at the site to bring in our Holy Family, water, rice, salt and candle.

Please bless our home.

11th on 11-11-11

It was Yang's and Ojay's 11th anniversary on November 11, 2011 at Bay Leaf Hotel at Manila.

Julian performed a magic show and it was a blast.  A kid performing a magic show for the adults!
They gave us a dance number too.
And the Reantaso boys sang with their rockeoke.  It's like a videoke with a live band.
While I tried to reminisce my ballroom dancing days.
 It was a fun party.
Kuya was matched with the host.
And we were joined by Jenny too.  Too bad Kuya just had his toe operation and cannot join us.
It could have been happier if only Tita Leslie can still join us.  She was terribly missed.  She would love parties like this one, sharing family's celebrations.

Welcome back!

Mama and Papa are back in time for their wedding anniversary!  They just came back from their vacation at New York, spending time with Onnie and her family.
Chef prepared a sumptuous dinner.  Grilled beef and pork with vegetables.
And he served Soy Chicken with Hainanese rice with ginger sauce, my ultimate craving! yum yum!
Dinner was soooo good, the boys stayed at the dinner table for loooooonngggg.
Happy anniversary Mama and Papa!  Thank you for all the pasalubongs and pabilis.

Fondue night

Old Swiss Inn - that's where we once celebrated Kuya's birthday.  And every Kuya's birthday, on Valentine's Day, traffic is terrible with everybody going out on a date.

And so Jenny invited us for a fondue night at Old Swiss Inn, this time at their Makati branch.
 We had cheese fondue.
We had beef with lots and lots of choices for sauce.
As recommended, we tried their Toblerone cheese cake.
And of course, we had their chocolate fondue.
Pardon me for the names of the dishes.  Dining out on food cooked on the spot with kids is such a challenge.

Last year.

It was just exactly last year, Sept. 23, 2010, when Omar and I took our first step for our dream to come true.

We decided to take the plunge and build our own home.

I went to BPI near our home in Paranaque to inquire for a housing loan.  We were able to get our loan from BPI but from Malolos Branch.  It took us quite some time to finalize the concept, apply for permit and get our loan.

A year after our first step, here's our dream in progress.
I'm so excited.  I'm so scary.  This is our new baby.

X5

Omar received a BIG project in his shop early second quarter of this year.  It's a total wrecked BMW X5.  He have to order and purchase the parts abroad from his friend and source out some parts as well.  There were delays in delivery of some parts so he wasn't able to deliver the unit on time.  The client was so understanding and he likes Omar for he's been reporting every progress to him.

In my own little way, I helped him by showing online sites of auto paint shops using Spectrum.

Then it's time to deliver the unit.  It was sooo nice!  It was like sparkling new.  I'm so proud of him.  The unit stayed in the shop for almost half a year but the wait was worth it.

They towed the car to the BMW shop and everybody in the shop was there to send the unit off.  It was heart warming to see it go - attachment for almost half a year plus the pride for being able to finish such a job.

Omar provided snacks for everybody but just as we were to enjoy the food, we received a call that the BMW X5 hit another X5 in the BMW shop just as they were putting the unit down from the tow truck, hitting its rear bumper to another's front bumper.

Awwww... so we will be seeing the X5 in the shop again and will be spending more weeks with him.

I'll post photos soon.

Despedida Dinner

Daddy and Mommy are due to leave for Canada tomorrow for 2 months.  We found a reason to eat out.  We seldom eat in restaurant now a days.  They often stay at Bulacan and we stay in Manila.

We had dinner at the Mini Shabu-Shabu Restaurant at the Fort.  It's been a while since we've eaten in this restaurant.  It's Daddy's favorite.  It may not be kid friendly but my kids survived it.

Have a safe trip Daddy and Mommy!  You deserve the break.

Big Toys for Small Boys

Winter's favorite spot in his Papa's shop.

A restored 1963 1/2 Mustang.

Loves cars

The little boy is just soooo like his Papa.  He loves cars.

Lola Olive gave him cars crocs.  He did not want to wear it at first for it was pretty tight, but for the love of cars, he wore it to school today.
Ninong Ojay and Tita Yang gave him cars sando and shorts too.
And Winter went home wearing just the socks and his yaya holding the shoes.

Mama, I show you!

Winter welcomed me at home with this remark.  He was so excited and dragged me to our room to show me his work of art.
Baby, Mama's happy you love arts and you're creative.  But please spare our wall with your art. You can post your stickers on papers or your books or bags or toys, but not on our walls please.
Sorry to spoil the surprise for Mama, but you have to clean it up.  Thanks Fifi Ate for helping.
