Days at the City of Lights

Viva Las Vegas!

For our short visit at California, I was battling over theme parks for Summer or Las Vegas for Omar. Since Summer was too young to enjoy theme parks, might as well bring Omar to Vegas where Summer can enjoy the lights as well.

Our first stop was Thomas & Mack Center where Manny Paquio won his game over Eric Morales. We did not go inside anymore but had picture taking outside for remembrance. Then off we went to check-in at our hotel.
Where else to stay but at the best - Wynn's Hotel Nevada!! Thank you so much for our sponsor and very generous tour guide - Ninong Adnie and Ninang Lynda. We had our buffet dinner at the same hotel and Summer had a feast with the cookies and candy apples.
The night is not enough to visit all the hotels for our hotel-hopping. We brought Omar to The Mirage, Harrahs, Ceasar's Palace, Venezia, and of course at The Belagio to watch the water show. We did not have time to go inside New York, New York, MGM, and Paris Paris. I was able to collect souvenir ballpens from the hotels.
I wasn't able to play the slot machines since I have Summer with me. On our way back to California, we stopped at the Whiskey Pete's. And for the first time, after my numerous visits at Las Vegas, I won US$ 250.00 playing with my US$ 5.00!

That play made my first trip to Las Vegas with my family more memorable.

California Day

We left for the airport early for our early flight to HongKong via Cathay Pacific for our transfer flight going to California.

Now that Omar and Summer got their 5-year US visa, it's about time to tour the US in a blast.

California was our first stop.

From the airport, we went to visit Lola Nene - Omar's lola. It was her first time to see Summer.
From Lola Nene, off we went to West Covina to freshen ourselves for the Christmas Party. It was Adrienne's birthday and she did not know that we were coming. Adrienne is my cousin who I took care of for 7 years, when she was 1year until she turned 8. She was sleeping inside Ate Amy's car when we came to their house, with my loud voice, she woke up and jumped from the car to me in her surprise. Summer found a playmate in her - instant yaya hehehe.
Tita Lynda's friends were happy to see for the first time my family - Omar and Summer. I had my bridal shower at the US and everybody was there. Ate Joy met us at the party and it was her first time to see Summer. She brought a gift and a candy for my baby and even washed her bottles.
We slept at Tita Lynda's new house at Hemet. It was really nice with a view of the lake from the master's bedroom. After a tour of Nevada, with my story at my next post, we paid a visit to my cousin, Ate Cristy, and Kuya Pong came over to see us. We then stayed the night at West Covina, preparing for our flight the following morning to Virginia.
It was a short visit yet we were able to see a lot. But I know there are still a lot to show my family. Someday ......

My first Day at Bora

It was my first time to ever-famous island of Boracay.

We flew via SeAir to Katiklan. From the airport, we took a tricycle ride to the pier for a boat ride going to the island. At the island, we went to ride a multicab on our way to the resort. We met my brother-in-law's family at The Bans Resort.

We immediately changed to our swim suits so we could enjoy the island to the fullest. Good thing that the weather was not too hot that time. We had picture taking, ate, and drank by the shore while watching the kids play with the sand. Summer had a blast playing with her cousins of the same age. I even tried their body massage by the shore followed with a fresh fruit shake from Jonas. Sana araw-araw ganun ang buhay, kasarap!

We then had dinner where Summer met her second group of Korean fans. If you can review my post on our first trip to Canada, Summer was met by Korean honeymoonerw who took her photos calling her Big Eyes. It happened again at Boracay where a group of Korean girls fondly took her photos while my baby smiled at them with her very big eyes. A girl even carried her for a photo op. The following day, we went island hopping and went to Puka Beach and Crocodile Island. My brother-in-law arranged with the bankero to prepare cooking equipments for we will do the cooking at the island. We went to the market early in the morning to buy our lunch. Much to our dismay, the bangkero did not relay the instruction to his fellow who will bring us to the island. All the boys were busy preparing lunch - the Survivor way, while Yang and I were busy taking photos of our kids. Lunch was a feast!
At night, thank to my brother-in-law's yayas, we were able to visit a bar for a drink. After a few bottles, when it suddenly rained, we went back to the resort and called it a night.
Boracay is different from Palawan. It's nice to watch people enjoying the sun, all the water activities, eating and shopping. Palawan is for some quiet time alone, secluded in an island, Boracay is for party by the beach.

Halloween Day

It is Summer's first time to attend a Halloween party. Her cousin, Julian, invited her to join him in his school's Halloween Party. She came in her bumblebee costume - thanks to Lola Olive who generously bought it just for her with matching pumpkin bag. She also wore this when we attended a costume birthday party of my Ninong at Bulacan. Omar and I went as Muslim couple.
I love her smile!

The Farmer in the Dell

My dad is a farmer.

He plants from palay to vegetables to ornamental plants. He raises cow, pig, chicken, quail, geese, turkey, horse, and fish - tilapia, bangus, sugpo, koi. He dreams to see his grandchildren picking up eggs of chicken or quail at the farm. But his ever 'sossy' and 'maarteng' apo find the farm smell so stinky that they refuse to visit the farm.

Here are photos of his babies at the farm:
I use these photos to introduce animals to Summer. I hope to bring her there someday for a field trip.

Day dreaming no more

After years of his working experience in the industry, after taking courage to finally executing his dream, after much hard work of looking around for a place, for constructing his plan, for finding the right equipments, finally, my husband's dream came true!

Karcraft Autoworks Co., Inc. finally opened its doors to the public on July 19, 2006. The shop is offering underchassis, mechanical, engine, body paint and restoration, accessories, wheel alignment and camber correction, aircon, electrical, detailing, and car accessories. It is located along West Ave. and open from Mondays to Saturdays at 9:00am to 6:00pm.

I was so excited to see my little girl in our shop. This is totally dedicated for her. She was wearing her authentic Chon sam dress which her ninang jenny brought for her from Shanghai, China. She entertained everybody and stayed up until the end.
