Field Trip

It's the company's late summer outing.

Destination: City of Pines

We rented a bus and left the resort at 5am. The trip was a breeze and got there at 10am. Late in the morning and look at the fog. Can you feel the cold air now?
After having our late breakfast and early lunch at home, we headed to the market for shopping - dinner, prizes and pasalubongs.
We then met them at the church for the 5pm mass.
We served dinner at home.
And played at night.
I hope everybody had fun. I miss my family. Omar stayed home with Summer. Let's go back here.

20 years old.

We are on our 20th year. Thank you PO!

Just like every year, we had our thanksgiving mass with Mons at the park, though this time at lunch time for it fell on a Sunday.
Mommy prepared lunch for everybody.
And I just love the dessert - Halohalo! Perfect to beat the heat.
Thank you po! And may we stay longer in the industry.

Band night.

Summer would sooo look forward to Friday and Saturday nights where they can go with us to the park to listen to some band while she plays around with her friends - Noynoy and Justin while eating barbecue.
Tonight, Kuya Biboy drove them around in the pedicab.
And when the songs being played get too old for them to enjoy, the babies will play with their DS.
It was a full night. Mom and Dad will be glad.
Let's go back again next week.

Christmas Party 2010

My kids are growing.

I can remember when we were young when our parents would assign us to sing and dance for our staff. And now it's my turn to assign it to my kids. Time flies really fast.

We held our party pretty late this time for we will be celebrating the holidays here and have to wait for Mom and Dad to fly in from the US.

The kids happily drew the raffle and distributed the prizes. Here's our sexy Santa.
The little boy not included in the raffle prizes.
Thanks everyone for being part of Paradise family. Happy holidays to you and your family. Have a great one!

We're 19.

We're thankful, we're so blessed. We turned 19years. We survived and still happily serving.
As a tradition, we celebrated it with a thanksgiving Mass with Mons and his penguins.
Kuya was in Manila. Jenny was in Malaysia. Ate was in the US. It's just me and my family together with Kuya's kids. Daddy gave his speech for the staff.
Mommy prepared early lunch.
Thank you for letting us serve you more.

Karcraft's Summer 2010

Karcraft's Summer outing started with a 6pm mass at the Barasoain Church followed with dinner at the resort.

Omar bought chicken from Chooks to go, prepared adobo, his staff prepared laing, and Mom donated pinakbet.
The night was filled with eating, drinking, swimming, singing and playing cards. Some went to the park to hear the band play.
It may not be enough, but it's our way of saying thank you to all the people who helped Omar run the shop.

Shopping.

Today is shopping day.

I joined Omar buy goods for Karcraft's summer outing. We bought wet goods from Farmer's Market and groceries from Shopwise.

Summer and I then asked them to drop us at Trinoma. We bought Summer's school shoes, socks, sando and some school supplies. Summer chose her own shoes.

Big girl na talaga, ready for her big school. Time for me to get ready.

A place for Cholo.

It's a Wednesday and it's my Karcraft day and it's the car show's first day. Omar with Boss Jo and Bong went to the show and I tagged along.

Omar planned on putting Cholo at the show but backed out the last minute because the slot was too much for his budget. We saw this Japanese version Toyota Corolla. Cholo is a US version and far better, of course love your own. I'll post photos of Cholo next time.
In a girl's eye, they all look the same to me. I mean they are all cars with accessories. It's just hard for me to distinguish which one is better over another. I had more fun looking at the models. I was told about a shop who always get the best model in the show and he was right so I took her photo hehehe.
A friend of Omar entered this beetle at the show. It looks cute with its miniature.
And they even named him Kriselda - as in Kriselda Volks.
Cars and girls - they always go together.

Ingress

It's been yearsssss since we last joined exhibits. And now, we are starting to be active once again to be able to survive in this challenging times.

We got a 2X2 booth at SM Megamall. Considering the limited space, I am expecting that the assigned to man the booth will be squatting outside our allotted space once again.
We had new tarpaulins printed for the booth.
The scale model was more than a decade old already but it still attracts attention, specially from kids.
The finished booth after working with 3 bosses with different ideas.
Hope the exhibit will be a success.

Valentine's dinner

We had a valentine's special dinner buffet offered for the guests with live acoustic band. It was held at the pool side of the hotel.
My in-laws surprised us and came to celebrate the night with us. Papa gave me flowers, as he does every year since I became a Reantaso.
Omar was assigned to grill the steaks for the family.
Summer just loves having her photos taken. Kanino kaya nagmana?
And Winter found his valentine date at the end of the night. Or should I say some girl found her valentine in my Winter?
Happy New Year!

Christmas Party 2009

We had our Christmas Party at Malolos. Everybody were to wear yellow.
Jenny lead the Opening prayer.

Kuya said the Opening remarks.
Then we draw raffle prizes and played Pinoy Henyo.
After dinner and drawing out all the raffle prizes for everybody, Daddy said his Christmas message.
We had our exchange gifts, as we usually do every year.
The practicumers did not just assist with serving food to the staff, but offered a dance number as well.
While Summer and Winter had so much fun playing with the other kids.
Roderick, as he does yearly, gave a dance number.
What better way to celebrate our Christmas Party with a thanksgiving mass lead by Mons Flint.
Then, the most awaited part, distribution of the 13th month pay.

Merry Christmas!

Omar's first flower horn at the shop died monthsss ago. That was Bob.
Omar now have his second fish from his friends. Flower horn is a good luck fish for business, works best when given than bought. Omar is a fan of the teleserye Stairway to Heaven and so he named the fish... Jody.

18th

We are now on our 18th year, thank God for that!

We had our Thanksgiving mass, celebrated by Mons Flint with the RCM sisters. 18years ago, we were too young. I can still remember reading the readings during the mass for the blessing of the resort. And now, I just sit and watch my nephews and niece do the readings. Next thing I know, it'll be my kids' turn.
Daddy said his piece thanking everybody for the great help they gave us for the last months and years.
Mommy acknowledged Ka Nene, our cook, who is now retiring after 18years.
We had the family cottage blessed too. It's a big bahay kubo in the middle of the fish pond. It's a great venue - only too small for Winter's birthday.
Thank you po!
