It's Yang's birthday!

We were invited for an after dinner celebration. Omar and I brought the kids with us without the yaya, partying the American way hehe. Practice na din for our coming trip.We had spaghetti, ribs, barbecue, cake and lots to drink. Summer partied to the max! Playing until midnight with her cousins on a school night.

A Decade!

Yes! A decade is 10 years! - Winter was issued a 10 year multiple tourist visa to US! Ang galing!Ang bilis din ng processing ngayon ng US Embassy. Monday, interview. Tuesday, nagtext na sa akin ang Delbros na for dispatch na passport ni Winter. Wednesday, nasa bahay na! At ang galante nila mag-bigay for first time applicant!

Buti na lang recession sa kanila ngayon hehehe.

God's not good... He's great!

After my stressful completion of requirements for Winter's application for his US Visa, comes our interview with the US Embassy.

Everyone must appear for application for tourist visa, including minors, accompanied by at least one parent. So even my 2month old baby have to go to the embassy.

They did not get his fingers scanned, just checked the infos instead. Then, we went to the interview room. I was asked to take a seat and wait for my number. But when the girl saw my baby, she asked us right away to follow her. I thought they have seats for parents with babies. Yun pala, naghanap sya ng window na malapit ng matapos at siningit kami!

Ang bait ng nag-interview! He asked a few questions and did not ask for a single document.

I'll just have to wait for delivery from Delbros.

The Chef is back!

This is dinner at home with the family and a chef in the house:We had mussels for appetizer.We had crab and corn soup, salad with chicken, and pasta. I wasn't able to take photos for I was so starving and they just looked oh so yummy, can't spare a minute just staring at them.

The boys had steak and the girls had fish.The chef served roasted chicken and paella too.We had chocolate mousse and fresh mango for dessert.

The kids, as usual, had fun playing and fighting at the same time.That was one yummy dinner!

Kaka-stress!

Our application for our Canadian visa was picked up on Oct. 9. According to the call center agent I talked to, processing time will be 10-15 working days. I counted and the 15th working day fell on Oct. 30.

And so I scheduled Winter's interview with the US Embassy for his US Visa on Nov. 3 at 8 in the morning. I like our interview on Monday mornings para fresh ang mga interviewing officers from their rest over the weekend, well-rested, para good mood at ma-approve-an ang application namin. Well, that's my belief.Come Oct. 29 and still no passport delivery from the Canadian embassy. Morning of October 30 and still no delivery. I have 2 working days to re-sched our appointment with the US embassy. Air 21 usually comes to our house between 1pm to 3pm. After I had my lunch, I decided not to wait for 3pm and to re-sched our appointment. And to my surprise, the embassy sent me my final confirmation letter for our schedule, meaning I can no longer re-sched it! Nag-panic ako!

Oct. 31 and still no delivery from Canadian embassy. I called the hotline.

Oct. 9 - documents were picked up from us
Oct. 11 - they got our documents
Oct. 13 - embassy was closed, Thanksgiving! Patay ako sa bilang ko!
Oct. 14 - started processing our application
Oct. 31 - 14th working day, 1 day short for the 15 working days processing of our visa.

The agent I talked to must have felt my panic and asked me when we plan to fly to Canada. I told her instead that we have a scheduled interview with the US Embassy for his US visa. She checked, and our passports were for release for the night of Oct. 31. What a relief! I can hear angels singing Alleluia in my head!

But!!! Air21 does not deliver on holidays, which is Nov.1 and on Sundays. They will deliver my documents on Monday. Patay na naman ako nyan! Morning appointment namin and we have to be there an hour earlier. Buti na lang may network tayo sa FedEx! He got my documents and I went to pick up our documents on Sunday afternoon.

Hay salamat! Sobrang kaka-bitin! God is really good!Kaka-stress!

Winter meets Jollibee

Need I say more?Look how he looks at the camera at a very young age.
Looks like he really likes Jollibee! And he even haven't tasted them yet.
That's our little giant at 2months, 1week and a day.

It's Jenjen's birthday!

We had dinner at Hap Chan along West Ave. at Quezon City. And they bought Smores cake from Red Ribbon, it was so yummy!
We gave her 2 books from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. I hope she'll like it.
