Day 7: Canada

Kuya Noel and Ate Cecil invited our family for lunch at their house. We had chips and chocolates, soup, salad, roast chicken, salmon, mashed potato, and fruit salad. They were such a sweet family. They were more than happy to have us come over to their house. Their basement is like a recreation room. Boys and kids spent their time their playing fooseball, billiard and table tennis. Summer hanged out with Kuya Paul and the kids. Until we went upstairs and watch the match of Pacquiao and Dela Hoya on DVD.While the boys shoveled the snow at the driveway, Summer and I stayed a bit longer to have our pictorial at the snow. Too bad, Winter is still too small to stay outdoors for long.I like it here! I love snow!

Day 6: Canada

We attended our novena mass today at dawn at the St. Barnabas Church.

After the mass, we had breakfast at Tim Horton's.  Instead of having coffee, we had chilis instead.  Haayy!  It felt like I'm in Canada hehehe!  That's one must for me here at Canada.
We then went to Pickering Market to do some panic Christmas buying - not for me, but for Jenny.
Tita Jack and her family came for a visit to see us.  We showed them 'For the first time' movie since Simone likes Richard Gutierrez.
We had dinner at Tita Lina's house.  Winter met Nana and Summer found a new friend - Paris.  And I met Sheryl of Rick.  Finally, faces in their names.
A busy day.  More busy days to follow.  Have to make use of our limited days in vacation.

Summer bloopers

Scene 1: Daddy was cutting his tablets.

S:  Daddy, what are you doing?
D:  I'm cutting my medicines.
S:  Why?
D:  Because they're big.
S:  Ohhh!  Daddy, I'm big na.  Don't cut me ha!

Scene 2:  Daddy mopping the floor.  Summer came rushing in and slipped.  Daddy laughed.  Summer went back to Daddy.

S:  Daddy, what's so funny?
D:  You!  I saw you.  What are you doing?  Are you trying to catch something?
S:  Daddy, that's not funny!

Scene 3:  Inside the Church looking at the stained window, with Ate Isabel.

S:  Ate, who is that? - pointing at the stained glass
I:  That's St. Anthony.
S:  Ohh.
Ate Heidi:  Do you know him?
S:  Ahuh!  - as if naman kilala nya!

Mahaba-haba pa ang bakasyon.  I'm sure more stories to come.  Sarap pala mag-hapon kasama ang babies, kakatawa at madami ka din matutunan sa kanila.

Day 5: Canada

And there's a snow storm.

We were supposed to have lunch with Tita Nil but due to the snow storm, we had to postpone it for next week.

Mom and Dad went to Oriental and brought lotsssss of fruitsssss.  It's like having a fruit fest!  We have melon, pomelo, apples, oranges, persimone, pears, cherries.

Having a snow storm is like living in a snow globe!  I like it!!!

Day 4: Canada

Today, we just spent our day sleeping and eating and sleeping and eating again.
Since we got here, Omar cooks our breakfast, mostly left overs turned into a new dish - fried rice or omelet.  He prepares Jenny's baon for work too.  Summer learned to eat garlic rice with her favorite sunny side up egg.  She usually eats her breakfast as early as 4 in the morning while Winter is just in his scroller waiting for somebody to pass by, stop and talk to him.
Benjie picked up Omar just before lunch time to bring him to some car dealers in the area while Kuya Ian brought him to a junk yard where all old cars are.  This is where Omar enjoyed the most.
Lolo Domeng dropped by to bring foods from Nana - 6 whole roast chicken, spring rolls, and corn.  All for Kuya and his family's arrival tonight.

While Omar and Daddy picked up Kuya and his family from the airport, Mom, Summer, Winter and I rode with Ate Heidi and her family to the church where we met the rest of the family from the airport.
Back home after the church, we had a feast for dinner - a celebration for Ate Bing's birthday.

Now, we are ALMOST complete.  One trip to Florida next week, and we will be complete once again after almost 9 years.

Day 3: Canada

Snow started to fall last night and Summer was so excited!

Daddy and Summer plowed 10cm of snow at the walk way in front of our house.  They also plowed more at the deck at the backyard.  Summer was so happy doing it, she did not feel cold even when her pajamas and rubber shoes are getting wet already.  I guess we have to buy her snow boots, a disposable one can do since we do not plan of staying here for long.
After lunch, we went to the mall instead of sleeping to be able to catch up with the Canadian time.
We attended the 3rd day novena at the St. Joseph Church and again, the babies were still sleeping, so I brought with me the carrier this time.  Winter's getting heavy.
Winter was the youngest among the attendance of the mass that the priest even asked me how old Winter was during Communion.
