Because I'm a Mom

Being a mom brought me so much joy, so I thank Summer and Omar for making me a mom.

Being a mom is life changing. I no longer yearn to go out at night and have gimmicks with friends. I feel guilty if by sunset I am not yet home to be with my daughter.

Being a mom made me appreciate my mom more. I became grateful. I realized it wasn't easy being a mom.

I feel for those who wanted to become a mom and yet cannot bear a child. I feel for those who wanted to be a mom, bore a child, and lost. Though, I haven't been to that situation, and I pray not to be in it. Just the thought of it hurts me.

I saw a site of a mom, who once lost a child in her womb, dedicated a product to all the moms who have lost. Her way of mourning turned to helping other moms recover from their pain turned into a successful business. She is selling a miscarriage keepsake jewelry. It helped her ease her pain. The miscarriage keepsake jewelry served as a memento that her baby is just at her chest, close to her heart.

I feel because I'm a mom too.

I'm having cold feet.

Is it winter time?
Is there a storm coming?

Jealous

I'm so jealous! Jenny is now at Las Vegas! Shopping, trying her luck at the slot machines, and eating!

So I surfed the net and typed in Las Vegas at Google. Voila! I am hotel hopping at Las Vegas too hahaha! I've been to Bellagion, Wynns, Paris, New York New York, and the likes! That's what we usually do. If we will be visiting a place sometime soon, we always do check websites of that place. Helps us prepare what to bring and where to go. Brings out all the excitement in us.

Uhmm shopping, I do not do online shopping, not yet! I'm afraid to discover it, I might like it so much, I may go bankrupt.

But for gaming, I can try my luck too! I saw online gaming, online poker, everything online. I saw one too just for Mac! Hmmm... Jenny can use this since she's carrying Mac. They have poker school, giving poker bonus, and the likes.

Simbang Gabi

I used to complete a simbang gabi until I had Summer. Now that she's big enough, I hope to complete it once again.

I attended the first day at, literally, simbang gabi - a 7:30pm mass at Parong Parong.

It's been ages since I attended a simbang gabi there. That's where we usually go to mass on Christmas eves, back when my lolo and lola were still alive. Now that they're gone, we're off to hear mass on our own and we just see each other in the early morning for breakfast.

The little chapel was packed, with some standing outside the chapel. Mostly are kids. I wonder where all this kids are on Sundays where almost not all seats are being occupied.

Christmas na. I just don't know with you, but for me, Christmas brings back so much memories - specially that of childhood's and it gives me a very good feeling. I hope to give Summer good and happy Christmas memories.

Fully booked

It's peak season at Hong Kong. It's so hard to choose a hotel from the very long list, much more to book. So we are left with what's available.

But the site for Hotel reservations made choosing among which is available easier. They have hotel rankings, rates, and a brief description of the hotel and its location. So you get to have an idea on the hotel and it's easier to book. There's just so many hotels in HongKong.

The site also offers flights, car rentals, vacation rentals, and vacation packages.

Santa's Sick

My little Santa is sick =(.

Di kinaya ng powers nya ang laki ng Don Bosco Gym. Sobrang likot, bumalik sakit nya, lumala pa!

She had ubo and sipon pero gumaling na ilang days ago lang. Then, kagabi pag-uwi ko, may sinat na sya. Bumalik kasi ubo at sipon nya, may plema pa. Hanggang sa nilagnat na tuluyan.

Hunger strike na sya, ayaw pa uminom ng gamot. Red medicine lang gusto nya, which is Loviscol. Ayaw uminom ng Tempra at Vitamin C. Pahirapan. Kawawa naman.

Sana gumaling na sya.

Nightmare!

Summer approached me to have her Santa hat fixed just before their presentation.

I had a short conversation with the mom beside me:

Other Mom: (referring to Summer) What's her name?

Me: (proudly smiling) Summer.

Other Mom: Ahh. Sya pala si Summer. (smiling naman)

Me: (uh oh! Bakit nya kilala by name ang anak ko? Ano na naman ginawa nito?) Opo. Bakit po?

Other Mom: Mom ako ni Diego. One afternoon while sleeping, Diego shouted 'Summer, No!' Sya pala si Summer.

Me: (oh no! Not again!) Naku! Pasensya na po kayo! Isa po yata anak nyo na-away ng anak ko. Hangang panaginip.

Then nag-start na ang program. Buti na lang. Sa mga mommies po ng mga batang na-away ng anak ko, I'm very sorry po! Dinidisiplina naman po namin ang anak namin. Sobrang playful lang po talaga.
