Proud to be a stage mom.

I am proud to be a stage mom to my daughter, Summer. And I'm so happy and thankful for all the reasons to be proud of.

Of course, I need an outlet to pour out all of my daughter's accomplishments, booboos, and all. I wouldn't be content with just telling stories personally to my family and friends. And that's the main reason why I set up my blog. I wanted to record Summer's milestones so she can read it when she grows up.

Now that I have a blog, I need a community or a forum to let other people know my love for my daughter. I am thankful that the SocialSpark community is there to listen to my every brags for my daughter. I am slowly meeting friends around the globe who happily reads my stories without complains. You don't only get a free audience for your daughter's shows, SocialSpark would even help you buy anything for your baby.

Who wouldn't be proud of their babies? Who wouldn't want to show their great love for their lovable daughter? I am a proud to be a stage mom. And I am thankful to SocialSpark for being there for the opportunity to brag her and for giving me rewards for sharing her with the community as well.

So to all mommy bloggers out there, get out, join the community, and share your precious moments with us. We will not complain but share with your joy of motherhood because we are stage moms too.

Sparkling pregnancy

What's with pregnancy? Since I discovered I was pregnant on December of 2007, I became too lazy to post anything at my blog.

You can see how my number of posts dropped dramatically since December, considering that December is a busy month for all of us with all the happenings and parties we attended. Then came January to March which marks the beginning of the year. Then came summer! Summer is with me almost the whole time! I must have loads of stories to tell about her, but I'd rather shrug it off and not record it at all in my blog.

But now, the spark just came back! I'm revived! I am so back to blogging! Notice how I start posting again last May until now. I hope I'll continue doing so for the coming months. Must be because I am now almost at my last trimester in pregnancy that I'm no longer lazy. But it's even harder to sleep now, I must not have enough energy for blogging. Or maybe I need my blogging to recharge my energy.

Thanks too to SocialSpark for putting up with my spirit. It's a great timing too that they accepted me in their community when I'm just reviving my spirit in blogging. SocialSpark is different from other forums. Here, you can meet new friends, reading their blogs and getting to know them.

Now, stay tuned and watch me tell you my stories. Now that Summer is back to school and I'm almost ready to pop, I sure have lots to tell. I'm so excited, I am so back to blogging once again!

I'm Proud!

Jenny is at Canada taking her Masters. Unfortunately, according to her, she's a lawyer.

She applied for apprenticeship at the Ombudsman of Ontario.

She was called for written exam. It was a 2-question exam. She answered her first question to the detail that she wasn't able to finish her answer to her second question. She was so upset. She was told that she will get a call a week after if she'll be able to make it for the oral exam.

Within that week, she got a call for her oral exam. It was a panel interview. She was so excited that she made it to the oral without even finishing her written. She made the most out of her oral exam, she spent an hour and a half with the panel. She took most of their time.

She got a call again asking for referrals. After calling her referrals, she will be called again for the offer.

And she got the call yesterday. She was offered a 12-month contract. She was shocked with the offer. She was only looking at 3-months apprentice with the Ombudsman. They said they liked her written and oral exam so much that's why they are offering her a 12-month contract instead. She was offered the 6-months instead and if she did not like working with them, they can cut it short for her. The caller even tried to sell the position they were offering to her.

We are so proud of her! The family is always here to support her. So much so that we will be spending Christmas with her there so that she won't be home sicked and will be able to stay long at her work with the Ombudsman. Yey! Another trip to look forward to.

As for her reward for herself, I suggest she look up fp journe watches. At least she would get to remember this rare opportunity whenever she looks at her time. The timing was great. She had all the time. And the time difference between us will not hinder us to support her.

Congrats Pangs!

May pag-asa kaya? hehehe

Fashion Icon

I remember the last time we were at the US, just before I got married, my brother invited her client, who happens to be in the area, for dinner at our house. She was there to send her daughter to a fashion school in California.

Her daughter dreamed of becoming a fashion designer and wanted to pursue her course in the US. She searched for fashion schools in California, specifically fashion schools in Los Angeles.

She must be done studying by now. I wonder where she pursued her career. She must have a bright future in the industry having to finish in a fine school in the US.

Precious Coins

The Central Bank of the Philippines just changed the composition of the coins to save for the costs and to avoid illegal smuggling of our coins outside the country. They say that the cost of the coin itself is more expensive than the value itself.

My brother used to collect the one peso coin during Marcos time, the big and heavy one. Now it costs more than a peso and worth collecting. My mom gave us a five peso coin, the big silver one, on her silver anniversary. It's not like the five peso coin we are using now.

You see, coins may just be coins. But a peso or a dollar won't be complete without them. They are made of metals and minerals that costs more than its value. It may mean nothing to us now but count more years and it will be more costly than our bills now.

Want to invest or collect coins? It's not yet too late. You may avail of rare coins from Monaco Rare Coins. They will be more than willing to assist you in this new form of investment or collection. Waste no time and coins and visit their site.

Is it just me?

Or do every mothers who recently gave birth experience changes in their eye grade?

Since I got pregnant, I always get a headache. I always carry in my pocket a balm. Could it be my eyes again? Does it mean I have to adjust my lens again?
So I surfed the net. And my Great Discovery: Zenni Optical. They have Zenni Optical $8 Rx Glasses. It's cheap and choices are fashionable. I can afford to change my glasses every month. And Best Thing Found: Zenni Optical. They have tinted glasses too. Now I can wear shades and see clearly at the same time without wearing contact lenses.

Nice work, Jade! =)

Let's see....

When I was pregnant with Summer, Jenny brought me a coconut butter stick from Body Shop to prevent me from having stretch marks. As I was too lazy to use it religiously, stretch marks made its launching and stayed for good.

And now pregnant again with Winter, Omar's been very supportive in reminding me to apply lotion on my tummy. But the stick dried already so I looked for other brand instead.

So I searched for a stretch mark cream and came upon this site. It's said to help prevent stretch marks. I just hope it helps remove old stretch marks too. They have revitol stretch mark cream. You should visit their site. It's totally amazing! They have testimonies with pictures of actual pregnant women! The had stretch marks on their early part of their pregnancy and after applying the revitol stretch mark cream, their tummy was so flawlessly white! Stretch marks disappeared! It's not just a moisturizer, but it helps strengthen your skin layer for elasticity. Really amazing!

Hmm... I just have to order it online and have it shipped to Jenny. I hope she'll find a way to send it here to me before my stretch marks starts growing again.

There is hope after all.

Field Trip

It was Summer's first field trip with Playschool International.

It's not cheap ha! Fee was Php 700.00 per head. Summer cannot go alone and Ate Cory must join so it was a whopping Php 1,400.00! Kuripot na talaga ako!

They were supposed to visit GoNuts Donuts, Science Centrum at Marikina and Pacem Eco-Park at Antipolo.

I let Ate Cory bring our digicam so she can take photos of Summer.

They went to Goldilocks Cake Fun Tour. They were allowed to see the kitchen of Goldilocks. They decorated their own mamon too and was allowed to bring it home. Goldilocks gave them a tumbler too for souvenir.
They had lunch at Pacem Eco-Park at Antipolo. Here, they saw a butterfly farm and lots of animals where they had a chance to touch them. They also went at a play area somewhere at Pasig. Summer wasn't able to go down at Pasig anymore for she was sleeping at the van.

From the photos, Summer was the smallest. Only 3 students in her class joined the trip.

Summer had fun. She was telling me that she went to the kitchen, referring to the Goldilocks cake factory. And she was telling us that she touched a snake and that snake doesn't bite.

It was nice looking at her photos. She loves looking at her photos too and would talk non-stop about their trip. I missed it pero okay lang, at least Summer did not miss it.

Chicken Lover

I'm a chicken lover! I love chicken! I love any chicken dish! I love chicken restaurants!

Among the many chicken restaurants, I love El Pollo Loco! I love their Mexican chicken! I like it wrapped in their tortilla with spicy salsa and coleslaw! Ooohhhh!!!! Makes me crave for Mexican chicken. I can eat a lot. I can eat for two. Next time we get a chance to eat out, I'll definitely eat at El Pollo Loco. I wish they have more branches here in the Philippines.

Come on! Let's eat Mexican chicken.

Mida's Touch

It must be nice to have a little of Mida's touch, turning ONLY those you wish into gold. Then we can be very rich.

No one's ever blessed with a Mida's touch. But one can definitely have gold, only if he or she works really hard for it.

Work hard, earn a lot, save a little, invest wisely.

A company in the US is there to help you invest wisely. Monex company is readily available to deliver, store, or keep your gold, be it coins or ingots or in bullions. Everybody loves gold. It's a good investment with its value appreciating since Biblical times, never rots, aside from its beauty and power it gives.

What better time to invest but now? Start the year right and purchase your gold now.

3 Kings

The 3 kings brought gold, myrrh, and incense to the child Jesus. I guess that's where gift giving on Christmas season originated.

Wouldn't it be nice to be getting real gold, silver, and other precious items for Christmas just like the old times? But, boy! They just cost too much.

If you have extra funds, you might want to think of investing it on silver. Coins used to weigh more before than today, that is because silver supply is getting low. My brother used to collect 1 peso coins - those big and heavy ones. Now, they even cost more than a peso. They get the value from the silver price. Just like how gold increased its value, silver is fast growing to increase its value too.

The site tells us the value of silver price. You can see from the site how even during the biblical times, gold and silver are so valued.

The 3 kings are always welcome to my house. Don't forget to bring your presents =).

Missing Summer

Jenny's missing Summer so much. She loves my baby. Jenny's taking her masters at the University of Toronto. She'll be back for Christmas and will go back to Canada at the second week of January.

She's having fun, only she's missing her family, not only Summer. I will have to tell her the good news. No need for her to go far to take her masters. She could even take it with Summer as her seatmate, for she can take it online. There is now an accredited online university.

Capella University is based at Minneapolis and the only accredited online university. The online university is offering conversation with the dean of the university online, and you can subscribe from podcasts or ITunes.

No need to go far. Get the best of the masters in your most comfort zone.

Ola!

I'm so tired!

After beating the Christmas rush shopping with heavy traffic from all directions, overspending your Christmas budget, attending all the Christmas parties, preparing 13th month pays, waking up really early for the Christmas dawn mass, I need a break!

I wish for an All Inclusive Mexico Vacation.

Have you seen their site? They're right! It's a WOW!

They have a wide range of resorts to choose from - for adults resort, family resort, and even for naturalists ones. They not only offer a breathtaking view of the beach, they offer mouth watering menu, thirst quenching tequila, fitness class, scuba diving, parties, entertainment, yoga, massage, you name it! They have it! It's such a heaven!

Diet? Low-carb? Southbeach? You can have it while you're on vacation. They can serve it to you. They're that sensitive to the needs of their clients.

That's what I call a dream vacation.

Pacer Performance

My hubby is a car enthusiast. It is his passion. It is his career.

I do not appreciate cars before as much as I do now. He taught me how. I have to learn, it's my business to learn.

We have a car shop catering mechanical, electrical, aircon repair, underchassis, body and paint repairs, restoration, detailing, and accessories. Since then, he's been bringing me to car shows, teaching me to appreciate cars.

I learned to value old cars. Before, I used to ignore those with plate numbers starting with letter N, now I would even take a second look at them.

He taught me how to distinguish a basic cars from those with full accessories. Teaching me to see mag wheels, body skirts, and even car lights.

He changed our car head lights. According to him, it was for all seasons, using LED lights. He used pacer performance brand. It was the best brand, he said. He saw it at this site showing all kinds of lights for trucks and other accessories at its best price. It's a one stop shop.

Go check it out yourself.

Because I'm a Mom

Being a mom brought me so much joy, so I thank Summer and Omar for making me a mom.

Being a mom is life changing. I no longer yearn to go out at night and have gimmicks with friends. I feel guilty if by sunset I am not yet home to be with my daughter.

Being a mom made me appreciate my mom more. I became grateful. I realized it wasn't easy being a mom.

I feel for those who wanted to become a mom and yet cannot bear a child. I feel for those who wanted to be a mom, bore a child, and lost. Though, I haven't been to that situation, and I pray not to be in it. Just the thought of it hurts me.

I saw a site of a mom, who once lost a child in her womb, dedicated a product to all the moms who have lost. Her way of mourning turned to helping other moms recover from their pain turned into a successful business. She is selling a miscarriage keepsake jewelry. It helped her ease her pain. The miscarriage keepsake jewelry served as a memento that her baby is just at her chest, close to her heart.

I feel because I'm a mom too.

Jealous

I'm so jealous! Jenny is now at Las Vegas! Shopping, trying her luck at the slot machines, and eating!

So I surfed the net and typed in Las Vegas at Google. Voila! I am hotel hopping at Las Vegas too hahaha! I've been to Bellagion, Wynns, Paris, New York New York, and the likes! That's what we usually do. If we will be visiting a place sometime soon, we always do check websites of that place. Helps us prepare what to bring and where to go. Brings out all the excitement in us.

Uhmm shopping, I do not do online shopping, not yet! I'm afraid to discover it, I might like it so much, I may go bankrupt.

But for gaming, I can try my luck too! I saw online gaming, online poker, everything online. I saw one too just for Mac! Hmmm... Jenny can use this since she's carrying Mac. They have poker school, giving poker bonus, and the likes.

Go try your luck!

Fully booked

It's peak season at Hong Kong. It's so hard to choose a hotel from the very long list, much more to book. So we are left with what's available.

But the site for Hotel reservations made choosing among which is available easier. They have hotel rankings, rates, and a brief description of the hotel and its location. So you get to have an idea on the hotel and it's easier to book. There's just so many hotels in HongKong.

The site also offers flights, car rentals, vacation rentals, and vacation packages.

Enough blogging, time to pack!
