Thank you!

President Cory Aquino died on the first Saturday of August, Feast of Immaculate Heart of Mary and the death month of her beloved Ninoy.

She was laid to rest at Manila Memorial. As expected, many came to pay their last respect and attended her funeral. Some even walked all the way from Manila Cathedral to the Manila Memorial.

It was declared a special non-working holiday and we just stayed at home and watched the funeral on TV. The mass started at 9am.

I was preparing for Winter's birthday party and went to SM to buy additional materials for the invitation card. On our way home, Omar went around SM to check if we can take a peek at the funeral cortege. Surprisingly, the service road was open to traffic and we were able to park with a nice view. So we waited until the cortege passed our way. Summer was making the L sign and shouting Laban, while asking me why she have to do it. She was even instructing Omar to do the same. I just told her that when she go to big school and take up history, she will remember the day we brought her there.People were so energetic and the feeling of pride was so powerful.

Thank you Tita Cory!

Perfect!

Summer is now on her Senior Year at Playschool International.

This year, it is not just playing. I was informed by the teacher that their objective for this school year is for the senior students to learn how to read by the end of the school year. Summer now have her Reading and Math Books.

When I reach home everyday, I see to it that I check her diary. They now have home works and pages to review. Summer and I would scan the pages they took up for the day.

It is also her first to have an assessment test.

She had her Math test on a Monday. We did not review for Math anymore since she basically knows all her colors and shapes.

Reading Test was on a Tuesday. We scanned a few pages, focusing on letter H. And when I brought her to school in the morning, we were reviewing her beginning sounds.

So when I got home, I checked her envelope again for homeworks. And there were her test papers. She got 15/15 for her Math test and 10/10 for her Reading test. All with 3 stars and with Good Job remark from her teacher with her Reading test.

Ang sarap ng feeling! Feeling ko nag-top ang anak ko sa bar exam. Sana magtuloy-tuloy.

Thank you Summer for giving Mama another reason to be a stagemom.

Feast of St. Anne

The hermano for the year's Feast of St. Anne is Tito Pining and his family. Tito Pining is the eldest brother of Daddy. All the siblings are abay. But since Mom and Dad are at Canada, Kuya and I are tasked to represent them.Mom just instructed me to dress up, prepare a donation, and offer it during the holy mass. But she did not tell me that we would have to join the procession. The procession followed right after the mass, just before noon. So it was really hot and the route was long and we were dressed in gown and wearing heels. Still, we survived the procession.

We then went to Tito Pining's house for the final event - lunch! I was too tired to take photos. I loved the lechon! That's fiesta!

A trip at Museo Pambata

Summer had her first field trip for the school year at Museo Pambata.

We did not join the school on our way to and from the museum, but brought our car instead. We joined the school's convoy. And since we will be heading straight to Bulacan after the field trip, Winter and Ate Cory joined us as well.Summer had fun running around the museum with her friends.Winter went on his own too.It was just tiring taking photos and running after Summer while carrying Winter, even if I had Ate Cory with me. But looking at the kids could ease some, not all!, tiredness away.

Museo Pambata, generally, is a good place to bring the kids. They have around 6rooms and kid-friendly guides as well. I witnessed too how Summer, even if she's too amazed with all the new activities around her, can get herself to listen to the guide, follow, and try to be the first in line. It was educational, not just for Summer, not just for Winter, but for me too.

For Baby Lisa.

It was just like months ago when we had a welcome dinner for Lisa and now it's despedida dinner, still for her. Lisa's bound for Netherlands to follow her heart.
We had dinner at Dampa at Ortigas. We were a lot and we were surely loud. We just love to eat.
Actually, ginawa lang excuse ang despedida ni Lisa. Gusto lang talaga namin kumain. Hmmm... ano naman kaya ang susunod naming excuse to get to eat together again.

Winter's 11th.

On his 11th month, he loves crawling! That's why he's wearing his knee pads in this photo.Di ko ubos akalain na magkaka-anak ako ng maputi kaya sayang naman kung iitim lang ang tuhod nya sa pag-gapang. Buti na lang may nabibiling knee pads.

Dinner with Kuya.

Kuya hosted dinner for the Canadians. They just came from the airport from their Bohol Trip and tomorrow, they will be going back to the airport for their Boracay trip. Good thing, we are just around 15 minutes ride to the airport.
It was Mommy's and Daddy's last dinner with us before they head back to Canada for their 2-month trip.

I bought cakes - ube and mango rolls - something rare or expensive if bought from Canada hehehe.
