Christmas is Sharing

My niece (with my cousin) is like a Promil kid. She's been a scholar since she was in high school at the Philippine Science to her college days at UP Diliman taking Medicine as an Oblation scholar at that ha! She is now a resident doctor of PGH and will be getting married on Sunday.

In thanksgiving for all her blessings, she shares to the other kids of our barrio at Bulacan, what she saves from her tuition fees. She holds christmas party for kids ages 4 to 12. Since she's getting married this year, and pretty busy with all the preparations, she just distributed gifts for the kids instead of having a party. This is their 12th year already. It's a joint project among her siblings. It was my first to witness the event. I've never seen so much kids in Parong Parong, not even during christmas mass and not even during fiesta. The priest even gave a blessing for the children before he ended the mass, as if it was a feast of Sto. Nino.
I helped in lining up the kids with tags. They prepared 150 tags for 150 gifts. More than 150 kids came. Nevertheless, we still asked those without tags to fall in line. The priority will be those with tags.Summer had her own tag, just to be like the other kids, from the extra tags. But to my dismay, she wanted a loot bag for herself too. She lined up with the other kids. Haay big girl na talaga. Here are the other photos:
Thanks Edhel for sharing with us the true essence of Christmas.
